Truth or Dare, Harvey ?

The first dare I ever made, was to tell the whole truth
way back in '91, as just a dreaming youth.
MIRIMAX made waves, you and Bob at the helm
produced radical tales, beyond logical realm.

We've all grown a bit since, those original days
for starters - Hollywood, is accepting of gays
and that's a big deal, for an actor like me
because closets, are made for clothes
I'm sure, Georgiana would agree.

In the likes of your best-actor-winner, Mr. Jean Dujardin
some agent told him long ago, to forget havin'a film fan
But he proved that poor schmuck wrong, with obvious blows
now I ask him, who's on his knees kissing WHOSE toes?

That's you Harvey, Yes, you are a demi-god
someone we look up to, to makes stars out of "odd"
and you love musicals, I can't tell you how much that counts
to be in a category, where others have flounced!

Several years ago, I had the great blessing
Teaching men in Rikers jail, who weren't confessing
yet were quick to make state, "not worthy of blame"
one thing is sure, they will never be the same.
Remember that film, "The Thin Blue Line"?
quite easily responsible, for a man's moment of shine.

You don't know me yet, or maybe you do
I've sent you a few notes, on how I look up to you.
I've dreamed for years, of being Santiago
to bring Paulo's words to life, a responsibility-I know.
Perhaps that day will come, but why pigeon hole myself?
there are children that need inspiring, beyond basketball dreams of wealth.

It takes an army, to inspire great change
to give children hope, access in range
To dream, as dreamers have always done.
From humble beginnings in Queens, to all the Oscars you have won.

So I ask you again, here right now today
There is no time like the present, for my message to convey;
create a space for me, the size a' needles eye
together my friend, we can greatly imply
the minds and hearts, of souls everywhere
with pictures that do more, than offer a good stare.

In this business of show, there is no better goal
set free the souls of man, attempt to make whole
give voice to the mute, even in silent film
this is what we do, teach others to swim.

This is the time, take it all by the balls
I have no doubt our partnership, would be more than all;
the drama, the comedy, the suspense and the thrill
It would be the biggest thing ever, beyond "The Big Chill".

I'm ready when you are
'get into the groove;
to make movies
and movies that
make people move.

I beg of you here, just one cup of tea
to sit down together and just simply meet Me.
