We Need To Talk

I don't want to talk about him,
he consumes every moment, of your life
when we're together, when we're alone
Nothing easy to ease into, no whim to just breeze through;
this child of your flesh, to me- unknown.

You speak of him
As an animal, without free will
like a hunter in search,
his next greatest kill.

When he calls, you don't ignore his cry
his bow is mightier than any arrow,
fiercer than any sword.
When played against a solemn sigh,
A stark raving Pharroah,
or the darkest lord.
How do you explain why?

It's you, isn't it
unsettling to say, the least
you made him this way, didn't you
perhaps it's you, the ferocious beast.
